Let Me Give you a Tour

Joy Blooms Here

Welcome to the Bloom Farm Retreat, a sanctuary nestled within the arms of Edenton in North Carolina. Steeped in history and adorned with nature's splendor, this whimsical haven awaits your visit. As you set foot onto the picturesque land, prepare to be transported to a world where time slows down, and magic thrives.

Gently caressed by the whispers of the wind, the three historic homes stand as guardians of the past, their stories woven into every creaking floorboard, wall, and ceiling. Circa 1850, 1870, and 1900, these fully restored treasures invite you to step into their embrace, immersing yourself in the bygone era while indulging in a few modern comforts.

Meander through the sprawling grounds, where vibrant blossoms paint the landscape with a kaleidoscope of colors, and fragrant aromas dance upon the spring breeze.

A symphony of nature's beauty unfolds before your eyes, as towering trees provide a canopy of tranquility, casting dappled sunlight upon the emerald-green lawns.

If your visit is longer, the allure of the in-ground pool beckons, its sparkling waters glistening like liquid diamonds under the sun's tender caress. Dive into its inviting depths, allowing the cool embrace to wash away the burdens of everyday life. Surrender to the blissful escape, as time seems to stand still in this aqueous sanctuary.

Annette and her husband Kim have dedicated their hearts to the well-being of their animals. They have opened their home to two rescued horses (Poppy has passed away) and three donkeys, providing them with a safe and loving sanctuary. After long years of hard work, these humble steeds graze upon the lush grass and call the two-stall horse barn and fenced pastures home. Free-roaming chickens add a touch of whimsy to the property, while their cherished cats and dogs bring love and companionship to their lives. Four little sheep have also been added to the pastures, providing Annette with much-loved wool for more to create fiber art.

"Mindfulness is a state of mind you can only get to if you slow down."

Just a short distance from historic Edenton, the Bloom Farm serves as a gateway to the rich tapestry of the past. Immerse yourself in the storied streets, where colonial charm weaves through every brick and cobblestone. As you wander through the centuries-old buildings and soak in the tales whispered by the winds of time, you'll be transported to eras long gone.

And when the allure of exploration beckons, the Outer Banks stand just an hour away, offering pristine stretches of sandy beaches and boundless horizons. Lose yourself in the symphony of crashing waves, as the salty air fills your lungs and invigorates your spirit.

The Bloom Farm is more than a place; it's a portal to another world, where history dances with nature and magic weaves through the fabric of everyday life. Come, surrender to the spellbinding embrace of this extraordinary retreat, where the past comes alive, and the present is imbued with enchantment.

Your room is located on the second story. Its windows face east and west, often providing gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. The bedroom furniture suite includes a queen-size bed, matching nightstands, a sitting area, and a dresser with a mirror. The room has an ensuite full bathroom with a large garden tub, a separate shower, and a double sink. A built-in wardrobe offers shelving and a hanging rod for clothing.

The full kitchen and the living room on the first floor are shared. Both floors have a large front porch overlooking the long crepe-myrtle-lined driveway, and the barn with pastures across the creek. Sometimes you will see the horse, three donkeys, sheep, and chickens flock together. That reminds me, if our hens are in a good mood, they will provide you with fresh eggs.
